ShaddiNikah

Rishta by caste or biradari

For some families, marrying within the biradari is essential. For others it is one consideration among many, and for some it does not matter at all. ShaddiNikah does not judge any of these; it gives each family a clear way to say which applies, and then sticks to it. This guide explains the choices and what each one does to your daily list.

Caste on every profile

Caste is a required answer. The list is Syed, Rajput, Jatt, Arain, Sheikh, Mughal, Pathan / Pashtun, Baloch, Awan, Gujjar, Malik, Butt, Abbasi, Qureshi, Ansari, Memon, and Other for anyone whose biradari is not listed. It is shown on each profile and suggestion card, next to sect.

Three levels, from open to firm

  • No caste preference. Caste neither hides anyone nor changes the order of your list.
  • Preferred castes. Choose the ones you would consider; other castes are not suggested. If very few profiles fit all your preferences, this is one of the settings that may be widened, after the age range and the countries you listed.
  • “Same caste only”. A deal-breaker: only profiles with exactly your caste are suggested, and it is never widened.

Making caste count without excluding

In “Must-haves and priorities” you can mark caste or biradari as most important. Profiles in your preferred castes then rank higher in your daily list. Combined with a broad list of preferred castes, this leans towards your own biradari while still showing good rishtas from others.

If your biradari is not on the list

Choose Other. Keep in mind that “same caste only” compares the option chosen, so with Other it matches every profile that also chose Other — not your particular biradari. Families in that position often keep caste open and talk about family background directly.

Questions

Can we see only our own biradari?

Yes. Set “same caste only” as a deal-breaker. It is never relaxed, even if your daily list is shorter as a result.

Will other families see our caste?

Yes. Caste is shown on every profile, because many families use it to decide. Your ID papers, by contrast, are seen only by staff.

Can preferred castes be widened without us knowing?

Only if very few profiles fit everything you asked for, and only after the age range and countries. Use “same caste only” for anything that must hold.

Is caste checked by staff?

No. Staff check identity, photos and age. Caste is as the family entered it.

If we have no caste preference, does caste still affect our list?

No. With no preferred castes and no deal-breaker, every profile is treated the same on caste.
