ShaddiNikah

Pakistani rishta for families in the United States

Pakistan is nine or ten hours ahead of the US East Coast and twelve or thirteen ahead of the West Coast. For a Pakistani American family, that gap is part of any rishta that involves relatives back home. ShaddiNikah is built so families can work through a rishta without needing to be awake at the same time.

Registering from the US

  • Choose the United States as your country. Fees are charged in US dollars, and the identity document is your passport.
  • The one-off registration fee covers the identity check and is paid with your first month. The amount is shown before you pay; plans are compared on the membership page.
  • Our staff check the passport and match the photos against it before the profile is shown to anyone. Anyone under 18 is refused.
  • Support hours are Monday to Saturday, 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM Pakistan time, which falls overnight in the US — so email is usually the easiest way to reach the team.

Working across time zones

Nothing on ShaddiNikah needs both families online at once. Your daily suggestions, interests, replies and messages wait in your account until you open them. With browser notifications switched on, you are told when an interest arrives, when the other side accepts, and when a message comes in.

American-born, Pakistani roots

The profile records country of birth and country of residence separately, and nationality can be Pakistani, two countries, or other. The city you live in sits alongside your home town and the city where the family lives. Mother tongue and other languages spoken are listed too, so a family in Pakistan can see whether English, Urdu, Punjabi or another language will be shared at home.

Education and career

Profiles state the level of education — up to a PhD or a doctor or engineer degree — with field of study, employment status, and for those working, profession and an income range. You can set a minimum education and minimum income in your preferences and mark either as most important.

Where the couple will live

Whether the couple settles in the US or in Pakistan is for the two families to agree. ShaddiNikah does not advise on immigration or spouse visas; please speak to a qualified immigration attorney about those.

Questions

Which ID do I need to register from the US?

A passport. A CNIC is asked for only when Pakistan is the registration country.

Can I pay in US dollars?

Yes. Choosing the United States sets your currency to US dollars for the registration fee and the plan. The payment methods available are shown before you pay.

Can I see rishtas from both the US and Pakistan?

Yes. List every country you would accept in your preferences, or leave it open. Mark country as most important if you want profiles from your chosen countries to count for more.

Does ShaddiNikah help with spouse visas?

No. ShaddiNikah helps families find and agree on a rishta; it does not give immigration advice.
