ShaddiNikah

Rishta in Lahore

For a family in Lahore, the search for a rishta often starts with relatives and people you already know. ShaddiNikah widens that circle without changing how a rishta is done: a parent can make the profile, our staff check it against a CNIC before anyone sees it, and the two families decide together when to exchange numbers.

Create AccountHow it works

Biradari and caste, if it matters to your family

Every profile records caste. The list includes Arain, Rajput, Jatt, Sheikh, Mughal, Butt, Malik, Awan, Gujjar, Syed and others. Families differ on how much this weighs, so the preferences offer three levels:

  • No caste preference — caste is not used to filter your suggestions.
  • Preferred castes — choose the ones you would consider. If very few profiles fit all your preferences, this is one of the settings that can be widened so your daily list is not empty.
  • “Same caste only” — a deal-breaker. It is never widened, even if it means fewer suggestions.

Family set-up

If it matters whether a family lives together as a joint family, the profile says so from the start. Each profile states the family set-up — living with parents, a small family, or a big family — and in your preferences you can ask for a particular set-up and mark “joint or separate home” as most important, which gives profiles that match it more weight.

Home town and family background

A family living in Lahore may have its roots in another town. The profile asks for the city you live in and your home town separately, along with the province, the city where the family lives, the father’s and mother’s names and work, and how many brothers and sisters there are. Mother tongue and other languages spoken are recorded too, from Punjabi and Urdu to Saraiki, Pashto and others.

Registering from Lahore

  • Choose who the rishta is for: yourself, or your son or daughter.
  • Choose Pakistan as your country. The ID document is your CNIC, and fees are in Pakistani rupees.
  • Pay the one-off registration fee with your first month. It covers the identity check; the amount is shown on the fee step and plan prices are on the membership page.
  • Complete the profile, photos and preferences, then submit it. Our staff match the photos against the CNIC and check the date of birth.
  • Once approved, you receive a daily list of suggestions. A profile in Lahore counts in its favour when that list is ranked, but rishtas from other cities still appear if they fit.

Meeting the other family

When both sides have accepted, a private chat opens and either family can ask to share phone numbers; the other family allows or declines. Until then, phone numbers and email addresses typed into chat are removed automatically, so nobody’s number travels further than the family intended.

Questions

Do I have to live in Lahore to see Lahore profiles?

No. Suggestions are not limited to one city. Living in the same city simply counts in a profile’s favour when your daily list is ranked.

Can a mother or father make the profile?

Yes. Choose “I am making this for my son” or “I am making this for my daughter” at the start. The profile is set up for your child from the beginning, so you never have to pose as them.

Will other families see our CNIC?

No. Only the staff checking it can open it. Other families see an “ID checked” mark, never the card or its number.

Can we see only rishtas from our own biradari?

Yes. Set “same caste only” as a deal-breaker and only profiles with your caste are suggested. If you would rather keep it open but lean towards certain castes, choose preferred castes and mark caste as most important instead.
