Choosing the countries you would accept
In your preferences you list the countries you would accept a rishta from: Pakistan only, Pakistan and the UK, several European countries, or others. Mark country as most important and profiles from those countries count for more.
If very few profiles fit everything you asked for, the country list is one of the settings that may be widened so the list is not empty. If a country is truly essential, keep that in mind when you read your list.
Reading a profile from abroad
- Country of birth and country of residence are separate answers.
- Nationality is Pakistani, two countries, or other.
- The city where the person lives now sits beside their home town and the city where their family lives.
- Profiles registered from outside Pakistan are checked against a passport; profiles from Pakistan against a CNIC.
Trade, exports and family business
The work section allows for the way Sialkot earns its living: employed, own work and business owner are separate statuses, with the job and an income range for anyone working. A checked job letter or salary proof adds a “Job checked” mark to the profile.
Seeing each other before anyone travels
When one family is in Sialkot and the other in Manchester or Milan, a short video can help before plane tickets are bought. A profile can carry an optional intro video, and when you ask to share numbers you can ask for a video introduction as well.
Where the couple lives after the nikah, and any visa that involves, is for the families to settle; ShaddiNikah does not give immigration advice.
Registering from Sialkot
Choose Pakistan as your country: your CNIC is the ID and fees are in Pakistani rupees, with plans on the membership page. Upload the CNIC, a selfie holding it and the front of each parent’s CNIC. Our staff check them before the profile is shown, and if something needs fixing it comes back with a note saying what to fix.
Questions
Can we see rishtas from the UK while living in Sialkot?
Yes. Add the United Kingdom, and any other country you would accept, to the countries in your preferences.
How do we know a profile from abroad is genuine?
Every profile is checked by our staff before it is shown — a CNIC for Pakistan, a passport elsewhere — with the photos matched against it.
Do we pay in rupees?
Yes, if you register from Pakistan. A family registering from the UK pays in pounds, and from the euro countries in euros.
