A rishta for doctors, engineers and professionals

When a family is looking for a doctor, an engineer or another professional, or the profile belongs to one, the details that matter most are study and work. ShaddiNikah records them on every profile, lets you set a minimum, and lets a family have its degree and job papers checked by our staff. This guide explains what is possible — and the one thing that is not.

Study and work on the profile

  • Highest study: Matric, Inter, Bachelor’s, Master’s, PhD, Doctor / engineer degree, or other.
  • What was studied, as the family writes it — MBBS, civil engineering, accountancy.
  • Work status: employed, own work, business owner, student, looking after home, or not working.
  • For anyone working, the job and a monthly income range.

Setting a minimum

In your preferences, the lowest education you accept is required, and the lowest income is optional. The education levels are ranked in order — Matric, Inter, Bachelor’s, Master’s, Doctor / engineer degree, then PhD — so choosing “Doctor / engineer degree” as your minimum admits profiles with that degree or a PhD.

Mark education or income as most important and profiles that meet your minimum rank higher; with education, the further above your minimum, the higher. A profile that left education or income blank, or chose “other” for education, is not hidden by your minimum, but it does not get that extra weight.

Checked papers

Along with the ID, a family can upload the highest degree or certificate and, for anyone working, a job letter or salary proof. Both are optional. Once our staff have checked them the profile shows “Study checked” or “Job checked”. Without that mark, education and work are as the family entered them.

What is not a filter

There is no setting that limits suggestions to one profession, such as doctors only. Profession is shown on every suggestion card so your family can choose. If you would like help, our staff can search for a particular profession on your behalf and send interest from your account.

If very few profiles fit all your preferences, the minimum education and then income may be widened, after age, countries and preferred castes, so the list is not empty.

Questions

Can we see only doctors?

Not as a setting. You can set “Doctor / engineer degree” as the minimum education, which also admits PhDs, and read the profession on each profile. Our staff can search by profession for you.

How do we know a degree is real?

Look for “Study checked”, which means our staff checked the uploaded degree or certificate. Otherwise, confirm it with the family.

Does a higher education rank higher?

Yes, if you mark education as most important. Profiles above your minimum then count for more.

Can a medical student’s profile say so?

Yes. Choose Student as the work status and write the field of study, such as MBBS. Job and income are asked only of those who are working.
