Photos only when your family is ready
In Settings you choose who can see the photos: everyone who sees the profile, only after both sides have said yes, or no one. An optional video introduction follows the same rule as the photos. You can change the choice at any time.
The photos are still checked by our staff against the CNIC before the profile goes live, so the other family knows the profile is real even before they see a face.
Purdah and hijab on the profile
A girl’s profile says whether she observes full purdah, wears a hijab, wears a scarf, or does not wear a hijab. A boy’s profile records his beard. A boy’s family can state a hijab preference and a girl’s family a beard preference; profiles that match get more weight in the daily list, though neither is used to hide anyone.
Pashto, Urdu and family background
Mother tongue is required on every profile, and Pashto, Urdu and Punjabi are among the options. Caste is required too, with Pathan / Pashtun, Awan, Syed, Qureshi and others on the list. For families in Pakistan the province is recorded, with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as its own option.
Elders lead the contact
- A father or mother can create the profile from the start, without posing as their son or daughter.
- A chat opens only after both sides accept an interest. Phone numbers typed into chat are removed automatically.
- Numbers are shared through a request the other family must allow. A home location pin, if you add one, is shown on the same terms.
- Because a parent-made profile carries the number the parent signed up with, the first call is between families.
Questions
Can our daughter’s photos be hidden completely?
Yes. Choose “no one” in Settings and her photos are not shown to any family. You can switch to “only after both say yes” later.
Can we ask for a girl who observes full purdah?
You can set it as your hijab preference. Profiles that match rank higher in your daily list; it is a preference, not a filter.
Is Pathan / Pashtun on the caste list?
Yes. You can choose it on your own profile, list it among the castes you would consider, or make “same caste only” a deal-breaker.
Can the other family see where we live?
They see the city, home town and family city written on your profile. A home pin on the map is optional, and is shown only after you allow their request to share numbers.
