Australia is one of the few places where a Pakistani family is ahead of Pakistan on the clock, not behind it. The community is spread across a very large country, from Sydney and Melbourne to Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth, so a rishta search usually needs to reach beyond one city. Registering from Australia

  • Choose Australia as your country. Fees are charged in Australian dollars, and the identity document is your passport.
  • The one-off registration fee covers the identity check and is paid with your first month. The amount is shown before you pay; plans are compared on the membership page.
  • Upload the passport photo page and a selfie holding it. Parents’ CNICs are optional for families abroad.
  • Our staff match the photos against the passport and confirm the date of birth before the profile is shown. Anyone under 18 is refused.

Ahead of Pakistan, not behind

Sydney, Melbourne and Canberra are five hours ahead of Pakistan, or six during Australian daylight saving; Brisbane is five hours ahead all year, and Perth three. Support is open Monday to Saturday, 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM Pakistan time — afternoon and evening on the east coast, early afternoon to evening in Perth — so families here can usually call during their own day.

For the families themselves, the gap means relatives in Pakistan are often waking up as your evening begins. Interests, replies and messages wait in the account, and with browser notifications on you are told when something arrives.

One city is rarely enough

A profile in exactly the same city as yours gets extra weight when your daily list is ranked, but profiles from the rest of Australia appear whenever they fit your preferences. You can also list the countries you would accept — Australia, Pakistan, both, or others — and mark country as most important.

If very few profiles fit all your preferences, the country list is one of the settings that may be widened so you still receive suggestions. Deal-breakers such as “same sect only” are never widened.

Born here, or recently arrived

Country of birth, country of residence and nationality (Pakistani, two countries, or other) are separate fields, with the city you live in, your home town and the city where your family lives alongside. A family in Pakistan reading the profile sees where the boy or girl grew up and where the family comes from.

Where the couple will live after the nikah is for the families to agree. ShaddiNikah does not advise on visas or migration.

Questions

Which ID do I need to register from Australia?

Your passport. A CNIC is asked for only when Pakistan is the country you register from.

Is the fee charged in Australian dollars?

Yes. Choosing Australia sets the currency to Australian dollars for both the registration fee and the plan.

Can I reach support during the Australian day?

Usually, yes. Support hours of 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM Pakistan time fall in the afternoon and evening in Australia. Email can be sent at any time.

Can we look for a rishta in Pakistan from Australia?

Yes. Add Pakistan to the countries in your preferences, alongside Australia if you would accept both.
