Frequently asked questions

The questions families ask most often before joining. If yours is not here, the contact page reaches our support team directly.

Is ShaddiNikah a dating app?

No. It is a rishta service for marriage. There is no casual browsing and no open messaging — a conversation only opens after both families have accepted each other.

Can parents create a profile for their son or daughter?

Yes. When you start, you choose whether the rishta is for yourself or for your son or daughter. The profile is set up correctly for that from the beginning, so a parent never has to pose as their child.

How are profiles verified?

A member of our staff checks the CNIC or passport, the photos and the supporting papers before the profile is shown to anyone. If something is unclear it comes back to you with a note explaining what to fix, and you can submit it again.

How long does verification take?

It depends on the plan: within 72 hours on Silver, 48 hours on Gold, and 8 hours on Platinum.

Who can see my CNIC or passport?

Only the staff who are checking it. Other families never see your ID papers or supporting documents — they see your profile, not your paperwork.

When is my phone number shared?

Only after a meeting request has been approved by our staff. Phone numbers and email addresses typed into chat messages are removed automatically, so contact details cannot be passed around before then.

Is there a free plan?

No. Membership is paid, and there is a one-off registration fee charged alongside your first month. The fee covers the identity check our staff carry out before your profile goes live.

Which countries can I register from?

Pakistan, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, Australia, Germany, France, the Netherlands, Italy and Spain. Your country sets the currency you are charged in and whether a CNIC or a passport is expected.

What happens if my profile is sent back?

You get a note saying what needs changing. You can edit that section and submit it again — you do not start over, and you are not charged again.

Can I hide my profile?

Yes. You can hide your profile at any time from Settings, and show it again later. While it is hidden, other families cannot see you.

Can I close my account?

Yes. Closing hides you from everyone and ends open conversations. Monthly payments stop at the end of the period you have already paid for, so you are not charged again.

Is there an age limit?

Yes. Profiles for anyone under 18 are refused at verification.
