ShaddiNikah

Pakistani rishta for families in the UK

For a British Pakistani family, a rishta may come from within the UK or from Pakistan, and a family can keep both possibilities open. ShaddiNikah is set up for that: you register from the UK with a passport and pay in pounds, the profile shows both where a person was born and where they live, and families on either side can take part until everyone is ready to speak by phone.

Registering from the UK

  • Choose the United Kingdom as your country. Fees are charged in pounds sterling, and the identity document is your passport.
  • The one-off registration fee covers the identity check and is paid with your first month. The exact amount is shown before you pay; plans are compared on the membership page.
  • Our staff check the passport and match the photos against it. Other families never see the passport or its number — only an “ID checked” mark.
  • Support is open Monday to Saturday, 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM Pakistan time. That is early morning to early afternoon in the UK (Pakistan is four hours ahead in summer, five in winter). Email can be sent at any hour.

Born in Britain, roots in Pakistan

The profile keeps apart things that are easily blurred: country of birth, country of residence, nationality (Pakistani, two countries, or other), the city you live in now, and your home town. A family in Birmingham with roots in Mirpur, or in Bradford with roots in Jhelum, can say both — and a family in Pakistan reading the profile can see both.

Mother tongue and the other languages a person speaks are recorded too, so families can see whether English, Urdu, Punjabi or another language is likely to be spoken at home.

A rishta from the UK, Pakistan, or both

In your preferences you list the countries you would accept a rishta from — only the UK, only Pakistan, both, or others — and you can mark country as most important. If very few profiles fit all your preferences, the country list is one of the settings that may be widened so your list is not empty; deal-breakers such as “same sect only” never are.

Where the couple will live after the nikah is for the two families to settle. ShaddiNikah does not give immigration or visa advice; questions about a spouse visa belong with a qualified adviser.

Parents in the UK and in Pakistan

A parent can create the profile for a son or daughter, and chat is written with families in mind — they may read along. Because a parent-made profile is registered with the phone number the parent signed up with, the first call after numbers are shared is between families, not two strangers.

Turn on browser notifications and you are told when an interest arrives, when the other side accepts, and when a message comes in, so the time difference with family in Pakistan does not mean missed replies.

Questions

Which ID do I need if I register from the UK?

A passport. A CNIC is asked for only when Pakistan is the country you register from.

Can I pay in pounds?

Yes. Choosing the United Kingdom sets your currency to pounds sterling for both the registration fee and the plan. The payment methods available are shown before you pay.

Will I only see profiles from the UK?

Only if you choose that. List the countries you would accept, or include Pakistan and others too. Marking country as most important gives profiles from your chosen countries more weight.

Does ShaddiNikah help with spouse visas?

No. ShaddiNikah helps families find and agree on a rishta; it does not advise on immigration. Please speak to a qualified immigration adviser.
