ShaddiNikah

Rishta in Islamabad and Rawalpindi

Islamabad and Rawalpindi sit side by side, and a family may have relatives in both — or a son or daughter working in one city while the family home is in the other. ShaddiNikah treats a rishta search here like anywhere else: a staff-checked profile, preferences your family sets, and contact only when both families agree. A few details work in a particular way for the twin cities, and they are worth knowing.

Create AccountHow it works

Two cities on the profile

The city on a profile is the one the family enters, so a family in Rawalpindi and a family in Islamabad have different cities. When your daily list is ranked, a profile in exactly the same city as yours gets extra weight. A profile in the other twin city does not get that extra weight, but it is not held back either: it is treated like any other profile that fits your preferences.

For families living in Pakistan the profile also asks for the province, where Islamabad and Punjab are separate options, and for the city where the wider family lives.

Education and career

If education and work are high on your list, the profile gives you something concrete to go on. Each profile states the level of education, the field of study, employment status and, for those working, profession and an income range.

  • Set a minimum education, from Matric up to a PhD or a doctor or engineer degree.
  • Set a minimum income range.
  • Mark education or income as most important, so profiles that meet your minimum — and better-educated profiles in particular — count for more when your list is ranked.

Families with someone abroad

If the boy or girl lives abroad while the family is in the twin cities, or the other way round, the profile shows both: country of residence, country of birth, nationality (Pakistani, two countries, or other), the city where they live now and the home town. In your preferences you can list the countries you would accept a rishta from, and mark country as most important.

How the papers are checked

Choose Pakistan as your country and the ID document is your CNIC; fees are in Pakistani rupees. Our staff check the CNIC, match the photos against it and confirm the date of birth — anyone under 18 is refused. If something is unclear the profile comes back with a note on what to fix, and you resubmit without starting over or paying again.

From interest to meeting

Send interest with a short note if you like. If the other family accepts, a private chat opens; families may read along, and Block and Report are in every chat. When you are ready, either side can ask to share phone numbers, and the other family allows or declines.

Questions

Will we see Rawalpindi profiles if we live in Islamabad?

Yes, whenever they fit your preferences. Only a profile in exactly the same city gets the extra ranking weight, so Rawalpindi and Islamabad profiles appear to each other like profiles from any other city.

Can we ask for a minimum education?

Yes. Set a minimum education in your preferences. If very few profiles meet all of your preferences it may be widened so your list is not empty; marking education as most important keeps better-educated profiles ranked higher.

Can the profile show that our son lives abroad?

Yes. Country of residence, country of birth and nationality are all part of the profile, alongside the city where he lives and the family’s home town.

Can we hide the profile once a rishta is fixed?

Yes. You can hide the profile from Settings at any time, and show it again later if needed. While it is hidden, new families cannot see it.
