Which countries, which currency
- Germany, France, the Netherlands, Italy and Spain can each be chosen as your country. In all five, fees are charged in euros and the identity document is your passport.
- The United Kingdom is a separate choice, with fees in pounds sterling.
- If you live in another European country, choose “Other country”. Fees are then charged in US dollars, and a passport is still the ID.
- The one-off registration fee covers the identity check and is paid with your first month. The amount and the payment methods available are shown before you pay; plans are on the membership page.
A search that crosses borders
In your preferences you list the countries you would accept a rishta from. A family in Barcelona can include Italy and France as well as Spain; a family in Frankfurt can add the Netherlands and Pakistan. Mark country as most important if it matters, and profiles from your chosen countries count for more.
Each profile shows the country the person lives in, the city, their country of birth and nationality, and their home town in Pakistan if they have one.
Support hours in Central European time
Support is open Monday to Saturday, 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM Pakistan time. Pakistan is four hours ahead of Berlin, Paris, Amsterdam, Rome and Madrid in winter and three in summer, so that is roughly 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM in winter and 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM in summer. Email can be sent at any hour.
Your data in Europe
Families in Europe can ask to see, correct, download or delete their data; the data rights page explains how. ID papers are seen only by the staff who check them. Other families see an “ID checked” mark, never the passport or its number.
Meeting across distance
A profile can carry an optional intro video, and when you ask to share numbers you can also ask for a video introduction. Numbers are shared only when the other family allows it. Where the couple will live after the shadi, and any residence permit that involves, is for the families to settle; ShaddiNikah does not give immigration advice.
