Start as the parent
When you sign up, the first question is who the rishta is for. Choose “I am making this for my son” or “I am making this for my daughter”. That sets the profile up for your child from the beginning. Next you choose your country, which decides the currency you pay in and the ID expected: a CNIC for Pakistan, a passport elsewhere.
What to have ready
- Your son’s or daughter’s CNIC number (Pakistan) or passport number (elsewhere), and date of birth.
- Clear, recent photos of them. Heavy filters are not accepted, and the main photo should not be a group photo. The number of photos allowed is shown on that step.
- Family details: the father’s and mother’s names and work, how many brothers and sisters there are, the family set-up, and the city where the family lives.
- Their education, field of study, work and, if they are working, profession and income range.
- Religion and, for Muslim families, sect; caste; mother tongue; home town.
Fill it in together
Some answers should come from your son or daughter: the kind of person they hope to marry, the age range, and which preferences are truly firm. Writing the profile together also means they are not surprised by what another family has read. Keep everything accurate — the house rules forbid false details and fake papers, and our staff check the ID and photos before the profile goes live.
Setting preferences wisely
Deal-breakers — unmarried only, same sect only, same caste only, no children — are never relaxed, so use them only for things that truly must hold. Other preferences, such as age range or preferred castes, may be widened if very few profiles fit. Mark what matters most as “most important” so matching profiles count for more.
Privacy for your son or daughter
Photos can be shown to everyone who sees the profile, only after both sides say yes, or to no one, and you can change this in Settings at any time. The CNIC or passport is seen only by staff. You can hide the profile at any time — for example once a rishta is fixed — and show it again later.
When another family shows interest
Interest arrives with an optional note. If you accept, a private chat opens between the two families. When both sides are ready, either can ask to share phone numbers and the other allows or declines. Because you created the account, the number registered on it is the one you signed up with, so the first call is between parents.
Questions
Does my son or daughter need their own account?
No. The profile is managed from the account you create when you choose “I am making this for my son” or “for my daughter”.
How old must my son or daughter be?
At least 18. Our staff check the date of birth on the CNIC or passport, and profiles for anyone under 18 are refused.
Can I change the profile after it is live?
Yes. Each section of the profile can be reopened and updated after it has been approved.
Is the registration fee refundable?
No. The one-off fee pays for the identity check and is not refunded. It is charged together with the first month of a plan; current plans are on the membership page.
